Hello fighters of the blahs,
Today I had the pleasure of seeing my oral surgeon, Dr. S. He seems to be a nice guy, although he does have a wicked case of bedhead. In his defense, Fashion is not his bag, Oral Surgery is and I must admit I am ok with that.
I arrived at the office, one minute late, and the woman behind the counter didn't even look up from her area.
Signing in, looking around a bit, nothing.
The waiting room is empty and at this point, I am wondering if I am even supposed to be there... but no...... I had received many reminders and even a text message a couple of hours ago, I definitely was supposed to have a dentist appointment but maybe it's the wrong office...... no one in the waiting room but there is a card in the case that has DR S's name. thing. Strangely, there was no one in the waiting room but being me 😈........I had to say something..... so I thanked her for the multiple reminders they sent for my appointment.
I am usually on time, if I show up at appointments at all, so the reminders are very persuasive. (I still owe my hand surgery a missed appointment fee, but that is another blog entry). The woman stated that most people don't like all the reminders. Good to know Ok, So now, sitting in a weird chair, cold and nervous, shivering, teeth chattering. .... now everyone comes in and I get a very efficient IV, and after I mumble something inappropriate. I'm waking up a couple hours later.
Dentistry has been around for 1000's of years. According to www.ancient-origins.net. There has been evidence of ancient decay on teeth and of the ancient peoples concern.
bye bye for now

Nice filling! It certainly did not make the 14,000 year cut!
I wonder how much that cost?
When I looked up the latest trend in tooth care I found an article on :
What do we want?
It can be summed up like this for we fashionista's
We want to be comfortable and relaxed during our restorative procedures so it is
important that dentists practice a patient-centric approach that keeps us at ease
so we don't experience any pain or anxiety. We want tooth colored restorations,
we want Straight, w0ite flawless smiles and we don't want anyone to know we had
it fixed
Now What are our choices ?
I asked a dentist friend of mine why it seemed like all of my friend's kid's and their friend's kid's and pretty much every kid on the planet needs braces and she told me it was because everyone wants beautiful teeth.
Doesn't it seem though that all those beautiful stars and people we worship and admire have beautiful teeth? well they too exercised their choices :
Porcelain Implants (in their mouths) Whitening and Straightening. There are special toothpastes, invisible braces, invisible fillings, oh and gum contouring, tooth reshaping, Inlays, overlays, crowns and bridges.
So when you are buying a great pair of shoes and a new handbag on your way to a threading or micro=blading appointment don't forget to make your yearly appointment for a cleaning at the dentist to keep those pearly whites in FASHION
One last thing, if you believe, for one minute that the now 2013 hottest tooth trend was something these celebrities thought of, think again... Press Here to See More Celebs with Grills
I think this guy has that honor, hand down.
