FAR CRY 5 , A Good Day for Eddie
A good day for Eddie is any day that involves games, more specifically Xbox One games which he plays extensively. Our goal? to get him involved with us and share his gaming world
So today, we offered to buy a game, for him, that he would "review" for our BLOG and also he would have to teach us how to play. At first, we are told by Eddie, that IGN, formerly Imagine Games Network, already does that, and why would anyone come to our blog to read about Video GAMES?(OK, he has a point) but we told him that if HE gave his opinion maybe they would. He immediately mentioned. Far Cry 5 and after investigation (Google search) We find they rated the game 8.9 out of 10 and it is "Secretly the Funniest Game in Years" (sound's good).
released on March 27th, FAR CRY 5. I am told by Eddie is a really good game that costs $60.00 and he would like to have it very much.
Of course, as the good parent handbook requires, we must screen the game for appropriateness. According to Eddie, the game is a first person game set in "America this time". (We have no idea where the game was set last time) but this time it is in a place called, Hope County, Montana. further he explains, the game is the first to have an airplane, is about a DOOMSDAY CULT and is really good. He can't tell us anymore than this because he hasn't played the game. I guess we can accept that.
Upon further exploration, (Google search) WikipediA defines the game a little better, (they must have played it). In the game, the player is a good guy rookie sheriff's deputy referred to as "The Deputy". He is part of a joint task force comprised of the Sheriff's office and the the United States Marshall's sent to arrest the leader of said DOOMSDAY CULT (that's the aforementioned DOOMSDAY CULT).
Joseph Seed, the leader of the cult, is the bad guy who believes he has been chosen, by GOD, to protect the people of Hope County from destruction.
He begins to fulfill his mission by forming "the Congregation at Eden's Gate", a militaristic DOOMSDAY CULT that uses "coercion and violence to forcible convert the residents of Hope County and intimidation to keep them from contacting the outside world for help"(ccncerning).
As any good Christian can clearly see, the box shows an illustration of a man with a Mohawk, presumably Joseph Seed, in JESUS CHRIST'S seat at the Last Supper. Included, where the disciples sit, is a cast of equally "SEEDY" individuals. This may be cause for more concern for some ....
BUT:
Overall, According to the information we have available at this time, and there is a lot (even though we haven't played the game) and that the game has been accused of having an "unquestionably relevant, religiously and politically volatile setting", it seems they do nothing with it other than some "hammy" jabs, it comes to nothing (per GameSpot's review). The game is "Superb"
with:
- Beautiful, interesting, and dynamic open world ripe for experimentation
- Organic discovery mechanics that make exploration exciting
- Specialists and Guns for Hire that are an entertaining addition
- Precise gun play that feels great (we don't know how great that is)
- The Far Cry Arcade hold potential for an array of interesting content
A couple hours later Eddie is ready for his "review" and it is as follows:
It's action packed, It keeps you on your heels, Beautiful, textures are great, more than one (if it didn't have different textures it wouldn't be a game) It's the first time in the series you can fly a airplane, and it is really fun. He just got the dog "Boomer " and the dog is like a German Shepherd that is grey and skinny and it looks like it has been abused. He states "his genius ends here" .
So we really want to try it out and can't wait to fulfill the next requirement of our deal actual inclusion . I don't know if it is worth
